New York: Viking Studio Books, 1966 First Edition, Second Printing February 1966 in very good condition, fair dj with rice paper repair semicomplete but torn with corner and upper spine edge wear plus brown tape marks on inner panels n mylar. Hard back with mottled green boards, black upper edge and gold printing. Good binding and spine, slight yellowing of pages. Stamp of previous owner on ffep and title page. Bump to side of rear board and there are four scrapes to side page edges. There has been a book cover as evidenced by the brown tape marks on ffep and inside covers. Still a very clean and firm copy. . Mark on outside rear and Original $5.75 price tag is still in evidence. "Alternating comedy, irony and grim violence . a pattern of mounting suspense" set in Haiti during the Duvalier era.
