"For this impression the wood-engravings were printed lithograpically from good pulls, rather than from the poor impressions found in the earlier printings." "The text was drawn from a volume published by the Hakluyt Society in 1948, with the addition of extracts from diaries kept by others aboard H.M.S. Dolphin between 19 June and 27 July 1767."
