Pages and plates are lightly tanned and foxed throughout, heavier to endpapers. Stained marking along front hinge. Previous owner's inscription to front free endpaper. Frontispiece is partially detached. Binding is slightly shaky. Boards have mild edge wear with slight rubbing to surfaces. Soft crushing to spine ends. Moderate tanning to spine and edges.

Frontispiece and fep are detached but still present. Cracking to front hinge. Boards have moderate shelf wear, with rubbing and marking. Light bumping to corners and heavy crushing to spine ends. Book has noticeable forward lean. Boards are slightly bowed.

VERY GOOD / NO DJ. x, 220 pp. Pages very lightly toned but otherwise completely clean, unmarked, undamaged; 32 full color plates of watercolor images of Cambridge are lovely, like-new condition. Also includes a "sketch plan" (b/w drawing) of the city. Endpapers are lightly toned; front hinge is beginning to crack at the bottom, but binding is tight and solid; book appears hardly used. Boards covered with blue embossed buckram; black titling on front cover, bright gilt titling on spine. Corners very lightly bumped except for top right of cover, which has small crease just at corner. Edges, top/tail of spine show no shelfwear. Overall in remarkable condition for a book this old; lovely item.

One page with shadow of inlaid paper item. Bright blue covers with embossed designs to front and spine. Gilting is clear on spine, but embossing has softened. Top of spine with small tears. Front lettering has a few small white spots. .

Previous owners signature to top of front free endpaper. First colour plate has at some point been selotaped back in and that tape has now turned yellow. Lettering to spine badly rubbed. A Good only copy.

Tight, handsome copy of the revised edition of this volume in the "Black's Popular Series of Colour Books" -- seldom seen in the attractive jacket.

Limited to 1000 sets. 204 pp. Full page colour illustrations with tissue guards. Rubbing to the corners of the boards and spine, spine shows some sunning. Good.

Ownership to flyleaf, some spotting to edges. Cloth lightly handled with some sunning to parts of the spine. Wrapper toned and marked with some loss especially to the top and bottom of the spine panel. Uncommon in wrapper. Very good in a worn wrapper. Part of Black's Popular Series of Colour Books, this volume being a revised version of the same title which formed part of the A. and C. Black 20 Shilling series first published in 1907.
