About This Item

Washington DC: United States Government Printing Office. Near Fine. 1950. First Edition. Softcover. Original wraps. Bulletin 197. vii, 411 pages. Index. 48 plates. Edge tone. This is the 18th number in this well known series of life histories of North American birds. The allies referred to in the title include such formes as the accentor, pipits, waxwings, the phainopepla, starling, and Bahama honeycreeper. All species and their geographical forms are treated as in previous numbers. The original price for these were $1.50; because of popularity they sold out quickly.
