The second and last "Pomeroy Pamphlet," the first having been issued the previous year. In 1912, Albert A. Pomeroy issued the first volume of his book, "The History and Genealogy of the Pomeroy Family." In Jan., 1914, an article appeared in "The New England Historical and Genealogical Register" ("Genealogical Research in England," by Elizabeth French, pp. 47-64), which undermined the pedigree of Eltweed Pomeroy that Albert Pomeroy put forth in his book. Furthermore, an editor at the "Register," J. Gardner Bartlett, appended a note to the article (pp. 55-56) which attacked Pomeroy's use of evidence in his book.… Read More
