Brutally & beautifully realistic poetry from this dedicated Japanese pacifist & social reformer (1888-1960) for many years. Translated by Lois J. Erickson, Foreword by Sherwood Eddy, illustrated with delicate pen-and-ink drawings throughout. A FIRST EDITION, first printing from 1935, this slim hardcover with black cloth-covered boards & bright gilt lettering to front & spine is in Fine condition (our highest grade): exceptionally clean, binding straight & strong, pages white & completely unmarked. The clipped DJ is downgraded to VG due to some very minor edgewear, light soil. Nicely protected now in new mylar cover. Our photos depict the Exact book you will receive from us, never "stock" images of books we don't actually have! All orders processed before 2 pm weekdays (Pacific time) ship same day; later orders, weekends, & holidays ship very next business day.
