About This Item

New York: The Dial Press, 1975. First Printing, First Edition Thus. . Hardcover. Very Good/Near Fine. Volume 29 in the series of Ellery Queen "Aces of Mystery" anthologies, with the exception of an Earl Derr Biggers novel, contains works written by an all star lineup between 1967 and 1971. There are a pair of short novels by Ed McBain and Charlotte Armstrong, novelets from Lawrence Blochman and Michael Gibert, and short stories by Hoch, Fish, McClo;y, Collins, Mather, Macauley, Breen, Harrison and Queen himself. 310 pages of mystery fiction none of which appears in previous Queen anthologries. The book appears to be ex libris, though the only evidence is some light glue stains on the front and back pastedowns and a small ink stamp in the lower corner of the title page, o/w boards and text are clean and unmarked, tight and square; the dustjacket, with the exception of some light soiling, has been well-protected over the years by a heavy-duty dj protector. Hard To Find.
