About This Item
New York: Penguin Putnam, Inc., 2001. First Edition, First Printing. . Hardcover. Fine/Near Fine. A sports reporter and columnist, this is Lupica's sixth novel about sports in the U.S., this time featuring Dee Gerard, who becomes the first woman player in the National Basketball Association as the owner of the hapless New York Knights tries one more way to fill all the empty seats in his arena and creates a full-blown media circus. This book is certainly a comedy but one with more than one serious message for sports fans. Boards and text are clean and unmarked, tight and square. Not remaindered. The dustjacket shows some light rubbing and edgewear, no tears or creasing or significant flaws; not price-clipped. Collectable.
