This is a signed first edition of Kialoa US-1, Dare to Win, the autobiography of American yachtsman Jim Kilroy (1922-2016) who pioneered maxi-yacht racing.
From the '50s to the '80s, Kilroy's ocean racing yachts, all name Kialoa, amassed a record of victories that remains unrivalled in the highest levels of Grand Prix racing.
This book is the behind the scenes story of commerce and competition; of what it takes to succeed; of adventure and glory on the high seas. There is also a motivational aspect to it.
It is 447 pages, packed with photographs and maps.

This book has not been read. Aside from a tiny bit of shelfwear to the dust jacket, it is in pristine condition.
