This first volume of La Sainte Bible qui contient le Vieux et Le Nouveau Testament, commonly called Mortier's Bible, after the name of the printer, is in a good condition. The volume is tightly bound with some tearing of the latter vellum and noticeable discoloration. The text and beautiful engravings remain in excellent condition. Few pages are loose and torn but most have sustained foxing around the edges. This two volume set was created by David Martin [1639 - 1721], was a learned French Protestant theologian. Marine Research Society, Salem, 1929, first edition, publication nineteen of the Society, with and introduction by Irving R. Wiles. Illustrated with photographs, line drawing and foldouts of ships plans. Very good with minor scuffing of corners and spine, binding loose but intact. A descriptive history of the development and logic behind ships of the past. Excellent reference for modelers and naval architects.

This is the second volume of three in the series of the history of the Royal Canadian Air Force. From a small militia organization the Canadian air force had grown by 1945 into one of the country's three major autonomous military services. In this second volume of the RCAF's official history, it covers the years from 1918 to 1945. Book is heavy and will require more postage.
