Includes a portrait of Gerome, nineteen full page photogravures and twenty-five full-page photo-process reproductions of his paintings and sculpture, together with fifty pencil drawings made especially for the book by Gerome. The guard to the author portrait is creased, tanned and chipped. There appears to be some slight water damage to pages at the back of the book, from page 255 on.
