Germany: Buchheim Verlag, Feldafing obb.. Hardcover. Very Good/None. Corners of pink boards shelf worn; Interior clean and all pages intact, yellowing at edges of text block. Scarce little volume with illustrations of German artists and poets. \nOskar Kokoschka painted in Expressionist style, informed by medieval artists and Gustav Klimt. He proposed to Alma Mahler three days after meeting her and only 11 months after she was widowed by husband composer Gustav Mahler. The three year affair is said to have influenced his painting. Kokoschka died shortly before his 94th birthday in 1980.
