The multilingual glossary includes as many terms in English, German, Italian and French as could be found for this special category of binding. Illustrated with black & white plates and diagrams. Book condition: good. Boards a little rubbed and corners slightly bumped. Some discolouration around the edges of the grey boards. Gilt title to the front still bright. Green cloth to spine has some shelf wear to head & tail. Some spots of discolouration on spine. Binding tight and sound. Internally the book is very clean and unmarked though the endpapers are a little tanned. One of the front endpapers has a light diagonal crease. Title page in red and black with decorated woodcut border. Decorated initials and chapter heads with numerous woodcuts throughout by Harold Nelson. This volume is the first in a series of three (the others are Robin Hood & Fryer Bacon). Retelling of the medieval legend about a Norman knight who discovers he is the son of the devil.

Over fifty illustrations including frontispiece. Book in good condition. Cloth to boards faded around edges and to spine. A little rubbing and wear to corners. Ex libris plate to front paste down which has exacerbated some toning to front free endpaper. Rear endpapers also lightly toned. Occasional crack to gutter but everything is still held firmly in place. Light soiling to text block edges but clean and bright internally.

Brunswick, USA: Friou Music, c1988. Card covers and spiral binding. 79pp. No jacket (as issued). A variety of songs and dances originally written in the twelfth through to the sixteenth centuries and arranged for the harp. The majority of the pieces existed in their original form as a melody line only - this makes the book a useful source for musicians other than harpists who are working on repertoire from the period covered. Fine condition with little evidence of use.

Book in fair condition. Cloth binding generally rubbed and quite worn in certain places. The hinges are weak and the cloth has split in places at the hinges with the result that the spine cover is becoming detached. Occasional crack at gutter but all pages are present and securely held.
