It is lightly toned, shows some wear and chipping at the edges. The original price on the spine was at some time neatly excised, but left the "$" intact, indicating this was a copy intended for the American market. This superb example of fine printing features a linocut by Artemio Rodriguez showing the famed Mexican singer Isabel Vargas Lizano (known as Chavela), wearing her trademark jorongo. Issued in commemoration of the centenary of her birth. Four decimas by renowned poets in her honor have been finely printed letterpress at the Taller Martín Pescador. The 'decima' is a ten-line form of poetry generally consisting of four stanzas, forty lines, in an ABBAACCDCC rhyme scheme. The decimas on this broadside are addressed to her, warmly praising her talent. . Limited edition, though the limitation is unknown to us. In Spanish. Shipped carefully rolled.

Ithaca, NY: n.p., n.d.. Fine. Apparently a unique copy, one of Fernando Llosa's beautiful one-of-a-kind artist books. Fourteen mounted Indian ink washes by the artist loose in case. The mounts are 8 inches square. The illustrations vary considerably in size. Each mount is initialed by the artist on the reverse, and each illustration has a barely visible number written on the lower right corner. A fine set in its original clamshell case. The case itself is a work of art. Tan buckram. The upper board contains a raised square onto which are onlaid a golden disk and a petrified fossil. The inside is lined with a soft Asian paper containing flower petals. The artist has written the title and publishing information on the inside of the upper cover. While Llosa has done some limited editions, some books are unique. Examples are "Seen in Ithaca" and "A Glimpse of Death from the Vantage Point of Love".
