All pages with top edge gilt in very good/clean condition however the text block has come away from spine but is held securely on by tape to front paste down and front board. A quick repair.

Inside both hinges repaired nicely with tape, all pages and marbled end papers, with top edge gilt, in very good/near fine condition.

Inside presentation book plate to paste down, personal bookplate of R. W. Oats and zoological library stamp to fly leaf. All other rough cut pages are uncut and unread, in near fine condition. An interesting copy of a scarce book.

Inside however except for a little intermittent foxing all pages and plates with top edge dyed red are in very good condition with tight binding.
