Covers rubbed, outer pages foxed. No d.j., as issued. The final appearaance of this Cavalry School yearbook, which began publication in 1912. Dedicated to Commandant Brig. Gen. Charles J. Symonds, with photo of him on horseback. Full-page photos of the other commanding officers. Doings at Fort Riley in the academic year 1927-28. School activities, exercises, show results., etc., told chiefly via many photos of men and horses, and cartoons. Several pages with photos on flying and also the mechanization of the British cavalry. Below her address is also written the name Mr. Arthur Perry. No message, nor room for one. Front is very good, back is stained. Ca. 5 x 3 ¼ inches. The girl, in a dressy outfit, rides astride and looks very much at home on her mount. Her younger brother(?) poses with her, perched less securely on his pony. A woman in white sits on the porch of the building in the right foreground. A group of men in the rear face the camera. Telegraph lines on the left, wheel tracks in the dirt road. A curious image. Della Follette wears a tight-fitting jacket and riding hat and what seem to be trousers that are either very flared or covered in a kind of skirt or blanket. The bridle is double, the saddle is Western. The horse seems to be a paint. They are posed in a park or other open ground with large houses in the background.
