Front endpaper removed, and soiling to the rear endpaper, otherwise a very good copy. Dustjacket with heavy wear at the top edges, chips and short tears, and soiling to the white panels. 467 pp., a fictional tale of 1868 Kansas and the railway cowtowns of the midwest. Some black and white illustrations by Blehm.

A good only copy of the book with relatively heavy wear at the spine end and corners and minor soiling to the text block edges and boards. Interior is very good with clean and unmarked pages in a solid binding, lacking in tightness. Dustjacket in only fair condition with a 1/2 inch chunk missing at the center top of the fron panel, and a long tear at top of the rear spine fold. - other short tears and chips at the edges. 100 pages, a beautiful collection of black and white photos of Wakagi's grandfather. A copy to use, not collect due to it's rough exterior.

New York: Alfred A. Knopf, 1992. Third printing. Hardcover. Good/good. Signed and inscribed by the author on the front endpaper, "For Jyll, Anne Rice" in her traditional black sharpie. A good copy of this hardcover 3rd printing. with light bending at the corners and crimping at the spine ends. Spine column is crinkled as if read several times. The hinges are solid and the binding is strong though lacking tightness. The dustjacket is also good, price-clipped and with some ruffling at the top edge of the panels - some scuffing and indention to the rear panel bottom. 430 pp., a continuation of what was originally the Lestat trilogy.

California: Safari Press Inc., 2012. Third printing. Hardcover. Good/good. Yellow hardcover, 3rd printing, in dustjacket. A good copy with general edge-wear to the boards and some bumping at the corners and spine tips. A clean and unmarked copy in a solid binding that has been opened at the front and rear gatherings - hinges solid and intact. Unclipped jacket is also good with some rubbing and scuffing to the panels and matching edge-wear, but still crisp. 308 pp., black and white photos at center. Originally published by Harper in the 50s, thi sis the modern re-issue.

Edges and corners are straight and the binding is solid. There are a few stray marks to the last few pages, barely noticeable. Dustjacket is also very good, with minor edge-wear and bit of light soiling to the white panels. 46pp., full color representations of Munch's beautiful glass ware.

Signed and inscribed by the author on the title page, "Shelby, Santa sees all that you do for children... & he remembers! Best Steven L. Layne 2-13-04." Bumping to the spine ends and corners, interior clean and solid. Unpaginated.

Utah: Deseret News Press, 1938. First edition. Hardcover. Good. Same date on title and copyright page, no additional printings or dates noted. A "good only" copy in burgundy boards with fading or darkening to the titles. Wear at the spine tips and matching rubbing at the spine edges near the joints. A rough patch toward the top of the front board. General shelf wear to the board edges, but corners are mostly straight. The binding is solid, but lacking in tightness from reading and use. Previous owner's info on both the pastedown and the front free-endpaper. The text has periodic underlining and marginalia, in three different pens/pencils. The writing is more than occasional, but not pervasive. While early copies of this title are available, it is becoming more unusual to find a first printing, and this one is quite attractive in spite of its noted flaws.

A good copy with a lift to the front cover, a minor crease to the rear cover, and wear at the cover edges and corners. The interior is tight and unmarked other than the author's inscription at front. Some thumbing to the pages. 174 pp., indexed, an examination of Western storytelling from the Center for the American West at UNM.

Minnesota: Ten Mile Lake Association, 2007. First edition. Hardcover. Good. Black pictoral hardcover. Minor wear and light soiling to the covers. Text clean and unmarked, binding solid. This would be a very good copy if not for crinkling from WATER damage - yes, they may have gotten too close to the lake. The pages are dry with no sticking or color loss and no sign of mold or mustiness. The upper edge and final gathering seem to have taken the brunt of the dipping. Still a great local history at 400 pages with black and white photos throughout.

Unstated first edition as is customary of Putnam's Sons in this time period. A good plus copy with wear and bending at the corners. Deckle-cut edges are a bit flattened in some areas and the satin bookmark has been cut off leaving just a nub. Previous owner's name to the front endpaper seems to be the only writing. All plates are intact and the binding is solid. Hinges are starting with torn paper, but no lack of grip. 312 pp., indexed. A beautiful copy of this volume.

The dustjacket is also very good but with ruffling along the top edge and a bit of bending at the folds. 63 pp., filled with magazine quality full color photos of the ancient coins in the Israel Museum's collection.

Clean and tight with bright and beautiful contents. Unclipped jacket is clean and attractive with minimal wear to the panel edges. 180 pp., filled with the artwork (in color and black and white) of Franklin Boggs, Howard Brodie, Manuel Bromberg, William Draper, Richard Gibney, Robert Greenhalgh, and Edward Reep.

A good plus copy with heavy wear at the spine ends and general shelf-wear to the edges and corners of the board. Previous owner's name to the front pastedown and a gift inscription to the first blank appear to be the only writing or markings. Binding is solid, but opens widely at the front hinge - not broken. The dustjacket has shome short tears at the joints, fading and light soil to the spine panel and edges, and a scar from a sticker removal to the rear panel. Overall a good plus copy of this history of Alpine, Oregon and the original Belknap settlement, put together by 3rd and 4th graders in pursuit of their local history. 222 pp., some black and white photos.

Interior is clean and unmarked in a solid binding - much better than the exterior. 158 pp., indexed, black and white photos throughout - a collection of reminiscences from Southwest Pacific County in Washington State, including stories of family and local history of the area. Potentially of interest to those doing family or genealogical research.
