The autobiography of the world famous `Colonel Sanders" who, at one time, was the most recognizable person in the world, and who didn"t launch Kentucky Fried Chicken, now KFC, until he was 65 years of age, and sold it for $2,000,000 several years later. He had been a sixth-grade dropout, a farmhand, an army mule-tender, a locomotive fireman, a railroad station hand, an aspiring lawyer, an insurance salesman, a ferryboat entrepreneur, a Chamber of Commerce secretary, a tire salesman, an amateur obstetrician, an unsuccessful political candidate, a gas station operator, a motel operator, and finally a restaurateur. Although he was born in Henryville, Indiana, a few miles from Louisville, he considered Kentucky his home, and is buried in Louisville's Cave Hill Cemetery.
