New York: R. R. Bowker, 1985. Very Good condition. Hinges are perfect. NO owner's name or bookplate. 1985. Volume 16 only, the Title Index to Volumes 1 - 15 (which contain complete and comprehensive reproductions of the original film reviews published in VARIETY during the years covered). There are a few margin notes in ink from an apparently very well informed film aficionado. These notes provide additional little known details about the films and their stars that add to the index reference value and usefulness. From the User's Guide: "Variety's Film Reviews Index has been created as a companion index to the first fifteen volumes of Variety's Film Reviews covering the years 1907 - 1980. It is an alphabetical title index to more than 40,000 film reviews published by Variety from January 19, 1907 to December 31, 1980." The book was originally purchased from Hollywood Firm Archive and has 2 of their small stickers on the front free endpaper. Bound in the original green cloth, stamped in bright gold on the spine and front cover. Oversize Hardcover. 9.25" wide by 12.25" tall. This large, heavy book may require SUBSTANTIAL extra postage for International shipments, but only the standard charge for priority or media mail. . 1st ed? (No additional printings listed).
