About This Item
Signed and dated by the author on the front endpaper. Some rubbing on the top of the spine, otherwise clean and tight. Dust jacket has some shelf wear, especially to the top of the spine. The previous owner has signed his name on the inside cover; this is a feature because the previous owner has been a prominent African- American attorney in Dallas since the 1970's. The book was purchased from the estate. There is some underlining in the book, significant because of the previous owner. A book shop sticker on the back cover is from the Black Images Book Bazaar.
The book is an examination of the politics of race relations, especially with regard to housing and development, in Dallas, Texas in the 1950's, 60's and 70's. There has been some controversy about what happened to the first, and only printing of the book. The book has recently been rediscovered and has been reissued.
