For a time the Medal Honor was also awarded in peacetime to a few outstanding men such as Charles Lindbergh and Admiral Richard Byrd. This book was a collaboration between the Congressional Medal of Honor Society, Boston Publishing Company and Time-Life Books. The dust jacket has Time-Life logo on the back with ISBN 0-8094-5628-1 and Boston Publishing Company on the spine. This dust jacket is color photgraphically illustrated with the 3 military branches' versions of the Congressional Medal of Honor.
