Illustrated with over 300 images from the original edition and an additional full color section displaying other works by Detaille. Translated from the French edition of 1888 - 1889 by Maureen Carlson Reinertsen. First edition thus, first printing with full number line. Dust-jacket protected by reinforced mylar covers that have been pasted to inside of front and rear boards. Not an ex-library copy, from a private collection. No previous ownership marks. A very clean, square, fresh and unmarked copy. Near fine in a fine dust-jacket. A large, heavy book. Priority and International orders will require additional postage. . First Edition Thus.
