The dust jacket is slightly darkened at the spine and price-clipped. "The parade, five blocks long, turned down Granville Street, the bands playing 'Rule Britannia' and 'The Maple Leaf Forever,' the crowds singing happily along with them. But look at the banners waving unsteadily above their heads: 'Asiatic Exclusion League - Stand for a White Canada'; 'White Canada - patronize your own race and Canada.'
