Tight and solid, square with sharp corners. Former owner name on endpaper with a line through it. Light small smudge on fore edge of page edges, otherwise clean and white. Pages clean, no markings, no tears. Unclipped, clean jacket with light wear around spine head and heel. 271 pages with Notes, Bibliography, Glossary and Index. 1994, Harvard Univ Press, Cambridge, MA and London, England
