SIGNED by the Author on title page, with a personalized inscription by him ("Uncle Dick") dated 1975 to lower dedication page. In 239 +[1] pages, including Appendix & Preface, illustrated throughout with pen-and-ink drawings of Berkeley Williams, Jr. A 1948 FIRST EDITON, but 8th printing, this hardcover small quarto is bound in teal-blue textured cloth stamped with black design to entire front cover, black lettering to front & spine. Condition is Fine: exceptionally clean & bright, binding strong & straight, pages showing just a whisper of tanning, but completely unmarked save for former owner's paper address label to ffep. Corners crisp. The unclipped DJ is VG, with small chips at corners & both ends of spine; nicely protected in new clear mylar cover free!
