Thick 8vo., 7 1/4" x 9 3/4", 454pp., plus 2pp. errata, frontis portrait, 16 chromolithograph plates by the author (15 of uniforms, 1 of colours(flags)), 15 portrait plates and 2 others, 6 folding maps and 4 text maps. Blind embossed royal blue cloth with bevelled boards, gilt titles, gilt cover emblem. An important and rare work on the Regiment. Spine uniformly faded, small band of fade across top of front cover, minor rub at the lower tips, light foxing to edge of page block, very slight ocassional foxing to some margins. Ink ownership inscription of Arthur Claud Spencer Chichester, 4th Baron Templemore (1880-1953), (Lieutenant-Colonel, Royal Fusiliers) on blacnk before title: "A.C.S. Chichester, Royal Fusiliers, April 28th. 1905." Very good plus clean, attractive copy, pages and plates pristine. Scarce. . 1st. Hard. Very Good Plus/No Jacket. 8vo.
