8vo, black cloth with white titles, black topstain, 204pp. Unclipped dust jacket (3.50). Stated first printing. Ex library copy with tape residue to endpapers, stamping to title page and last page of text. Some rubbing to dust jacket panels, with abrasion and loss to paper at author statement. Wendell Berry's first novel and first published book. Altogether a nice copy for an ex-library. Handsomely preserved in mylar.
