New York: Thomas Y. Crowell & Co. No published date specified - copyright 1897, inscription shows 1901. Light blue boards, gilt lettering and scroll work on spine, dark green/gilt/yellow/brown art deco illustration of woman and lions on front and back, 264 numbered pages. Boards rubbed along edges, lightly surface rubbed. Previous owner's inscription in ink on ffep, tissue covering frontispiece separated (3/4 inch) at top edge, title page separated (1.5 inch) at bottom edge. Cracked at page 173 but binding tight. A scattering of thumb marks and slight smudges, light foxing on pages 220-221, 227-232, otherwise pages clean. Overall, good plus.. Hard Cover. Good Plus/No DJ. 16mo - over 5¾" - 6¾" tall.
