New in new dust jacket and signed by author. SHINING BOOKS IN SHINING JACKETS AND IN their ORIGINAL BLACK SLIP-CASE. UNTOUCHED, UNREAD, AND PERHAPS ONLY OPENED BY AUTHOR WHEN HE SIGNED IT AS A GIFT. BETWEEN THE TWO VOLUMES IS THE MAP VOLUME, ALSO UNOPENED, UNMARKED, CONTAINING MAPS OF THE BATTLES. Would be expensive to ship outside North America.

Author (Biographical Note Author) John Forsyth, Provincial Archivist, signed this book on September 18, 1923 as a gift to Mr. Henderson (a local.) But for the signature, I would grade the book Fine or NEAR FINe with gentle paper toning. My copy is in hard cover with bevelled edges. The archives also published a soft-cover version in larger print run

Book has an errata sheet slipped in. It has 8 maps (8 plates) all perfect, all numbered, all protected by a tiussue in which is printed in red the plate number and title, and all dated betwen 1768 and 1792. The book has no writing inside, no dirt, no defects. It is in near fine condition for its age,but has a piece of paper strip missing from top of spine. I highlight that in one of the scans.
The author has signed "from C.F.Newcombe" at the top of the front cover, gifting the book. Newcombe as a noted naturalist and a volunteer at the Provincial Library.

Stories largely of British Columbia The University of Cambridge holds a copy as do some other libraries, but a search of the Net does not reveal any copies other than mine, which I am now listing on book sites

Very good. 215 p. 215 pp plus 8 pages ads at back A treasure with huge coloured pull-out map in perfect condition. This "Colonial Office Lists" started in 1862, and this is one of the very earliest. Moreover it is in magnificent condition, toned of course. The gilt titling and insignia are bright; corner bumps are minimal with no loss of color, tops of spine are undamaged. Ask for scans so as to see the very minor dark marks on front and back boards. Inside front board in a Victorian hand is written "Governor's Office."I also have 1866
