Two volumes, loose as issued in the original raffia paper chemise, both volumes housed in the original matching raffia slipcase. Original edition limited in 32 copies, 220 facsimiles of letters, postcards and calligrammes of the love correspondence among Apollinaire and the Countess Louise de Coligny-Chatillon, written between 28 September 1914 and 18 January 1916. This copy is complete with the handwritten and signed justification: "Edition Originale Exemplaire 15/32 P. Callier"

One of 100 copies with 10 lithographs hand colored under Campigli supervision, of which three of them in double-page. Total Edition of 250 copies numbered: 100 with hand-colored lithographs, 125 with B/W lithographs; 25 out of commerce. Good copy of a rare edition.
Condition: Hard cover worn, bottom spine detached and worn, stains and discolorations. Inside spine loose, but attached, some splits between pages, lithographs with bright color and not discolorations, the paper with light waves, some with creases. Robert Desnos, Illustrated by Pablo Picasso. Robert Godet, Paris 1944. Limited edition of 213 numbered copies of which this copy is one of 200 in Lafuma pur fil paper. With one etching in frontispiece, loose as issued, with inverted signature and date Picasso 23.D.43. A collection of 25 poems by Robert Desnos, illustrated with 23 reproductions of different parts of the etching to unveiling to the reader, page after page, the different aspects of the frontispiece. The etching depicts a seated figure on both sides, front and back, with millions of fine lines supporting the figure, the drawing acquires volume and intricacy, and questions our sense of perception of the whole piece. The poems of the collection are highly militant, alluding to the occupation and imminent liberation; Desnos was arrested by Gestapo in February 1944, before the publication of the book, and died 15 months later.

Illustrated with an original etching by Picasso depicting a nude turned on the back, dated, signed, and inscribed in plate, and an original etching by Paul Lemagny, a portrait of Picasso.

English edition with 8 linoleum cut by Matisse, de Chirico, Miro, Arp, Laurens, Magnelli, Zadkine, and Helion; 2 lithographs by Duchamp (Obligation Montecarlo) and Max Bill (variation 13). The art journal XXe Siecle - Chroniques du Jour was created and published by the versatile Gualtiero di San Lazzaro, journalist, art critique, art dealer. Between 1938 and 1939 San Lazzaro only published 6 issues of the magazine, of which the last is a double number (Vol: 1-2-3-4-5/6). After the War, in 1951 the publications resumed as XXe Siècle - Nouvelle Série.Very good condition.

Dali. Deux fatrasies, with 4 original engravings. Atelier d'Art Rys, Cannes, France, 1963. Text by Robert D. Valette, illustrated by Salvador DALI with 4 original engravings: a vignette on the title page and on the cover, representing the artist's signature with date 1961, 3 in full page of which last is signed in the plate. Copy I of 9 HC marked with letters from A to I, signed and dated in pencil by Dali, and by the author in justification page. Inscribed with a dedication in green pencil by the author Robet D. Valette.

With 2 pochoirs in color by Miró and 40 prints in black and white by Miro. Michel Leiris. Published by Curt Valentin, New York, 1947. A collection of 42 prints of Miro' reproducing his beautiful surreal world, the prints loose as issued are assembled in a paper wrap portfolio in red with pictorial front cover. This limited edition of 1500 unnumbered copies, comes with a booklet with a text by Michel Leiris that is unfortunately missed. The 42 prints, including the two color stencil plate, are all in place in the red paper wraps. In very good conditions, red paper folder worn.

Bordas, Paris, 1950. This portfolio contains a poem by Tristan Tzara, cofounder of the Dada movement, who asked Picasso to collaborate with him in the creation of this book. The artist contributed 9 original lithographs for this work, which also includes an extra suite of prints in Japan paper. Picasso departed from his typical technique of creating lithographs by using his finger to paint the images instead of a lithographic brush. This is especially evident by the various fingerprint marks in the images. The total amount of copies for this edition are 350 numbered copies, of which this one is one of 30 copies on Hollande van Gelder Zonen signed in pencil by Picasso and Tzara on justification page.
