Tan cloth spine, blue cloth boards with white embossed illustration of Mount Everest on top front, 8 color pages and 48 in black and white, 300 lightly browned pages with maps and sketches throughout. DJ has color photo on front of mountain and two climbers, praise on back from William O. Douglas, James Ramsey Ullman, New York Times Book Review and others. DJ white back is lightly browned, nick at bottom front tip and spine top right edge, microtears at spine bottom edge, microtear at bottom back tip. Near Very Good DJ/Very Good+ book.
