With "Seymore" instead of Seymour on page 173, first issue without the dedication page, only a handful of these first issues have been reported. Near fine in a jacket with one internal reinforcement, else very good plus.

Half-title. PRESENTATION COPY, INSCRIBED BY ELIOT on title page: "Inscribed for Mrs. B. ?Idding? Bell by T. S. Eliot Holy Saturday 1939." The Family Reunion was first performed in March,1939 at the Westminster Theatre in London. Slight wear to spine and edges, wrapper near fine with a few creases.

Correctly priced at 7/6. 311 pp. and 8 pp. of advertisements at the end. 19 x 13,5 cm. Dust jacket now protected in removable sleeve. A very collectible copy. .

Slight soiling and discolouration of the cloth, otherwise a very clean, sharp copy. Internally clean, although the poor paper stock has resulted in some uniform toning. One of the scarcest Gaberbocchus publications, and a fine collaboration from the wildly creative Kavan, one of the few authors to have constructed a nom-de-plume, and then adopted that pseudonym as their real name, amongst numerous other achievements, of course.
