Very good condition (bookplate "From the Library of the Iron Bear Press, Gary & Kathy Miller" on front paste down, shadow residue of old labels since removed on front fly leaf and bottom of title page, not affecting contents).

Bound by the second generation of the same Earle Gray Bindery that originally bound all Fine Arts Press books. Illustrated with photo portraits of Thomas E. Williams and examples of his title pages. A nice association: a notable Santa Ana fine press's biography and bibliography that once belonged to a modern fine press that still exists in San Diego.

Especially useful is the bibliography detailing the output of the Press.

Octavo (10 X 7 inches) Chicago: Chicago & North Western Railway Co., 1927. 48 page booklet, illustrated with captioned photos (several in color), descriptive text, five maps in color, cover is an embossed vignette of Yosemite Valley. Original, staple bound wrappers. Very good condition.

Original stapled booklet, in taupe colored textured wrappers, of about 80 unnumbered pages printed on coated stock, numerous black and white photos of cultural locations in Southern California, stylized map showing Southern California music, museum, university, library, and other cultural locations; wrappers, with decoration of seven artistic muses and the title embossed on the front cover, good condition (top edge slightly bent, not affecting contents, text block just starting to become loose, but holding).

An overview of "Environment," "Art in General," "Painting and Sculpture," "Architecture," "Churches," "Music," "Auditoriums," "Literature," "Drama-Theatres-Dancing," "Motion Pictures," "Schools and Observatories," and "Clubs."

12 mo. (8 x 4 3/4 inches) 1929. Stapled program of 31 pages, black and white halftone aerial panoramic photo on covers showing the Downtown skyline, with City Hall featured prominently. Double page map prepared by the Automobile Club of Southern California shows location of the Elk's Temple in the center and adjacent streets leading to Exposition Park, Hollywood, Elysian Park, Downtown, and the Santa Fe and Southern Pacific Depots. Original, wrappers, very good condition.

An agenda for day to day activities beginning July 5th, and ending July 13; including "Parade Day," "Coliseum Events," with sections on auto tours to Redondo Beach, Venice, Ocean Park, and Santa Monica. Names listed on the "Executive Committee" include Hellman, Janss, Doheny, Haggarty, and Warner.

Octavo (9 x 4 inch) circa 1930s, original promotional paper brochure folded five times to form 12 unnumbered panels printed on both sides with halftone photos and descriptive text; cover title against an orange background, headlines printed in red, Wilmington Transportation Company flag on front cover surrounded by images of recreational activities on the Island. Very good condition

32 mo. 5 x 7 inch original rectangular souvenir stapled booklet of 16 unnumbered pages, with color captioned photos of the famous gardens in Pasadena, California which no longer exist. Los Angeles: Engraved and Printed by the Van Ornum Colorprint Co., 1915-1920. Good condition.

Buff-colored wrappers, front cover oval cutout surrounded by the title and line drawings of the gardens; through the cutout oval, part of the first colored illustration under the cover is visible.

Octavo (8 3/4 x 3 3/4 inches) Oakland, California, early 20th century paper advertisement printed on coated stock folded once to form four panels printed on both sides, illustrated with halftone sepia photos of the interior rooms and a bird's-eye map on the back cover. Original, good condition (rubber stamp of Peck-Judah on one panel, not affecting contents).

Promoting Oakland and the Hotel Metropole, that burned down in 1918.

Octavo (8 1/2 by 5 7/8 inches) New York: Julian Messner, 1952. First Edition. 183 pages, bibliography and index, decorated cloth, dust jacket with repaired tears protected by mylar, very good condition (small dent to top of top edge of front cover, not affecting text).

Semi-fictional biography written for the young reader. "Shannon Garst is well known for her fine biographies of men and women who have helped blaze the trail to freedom and progress. Born and reared in the west, and steeped from childhood in the lore of the wide open spaces, she turned naturally to specializing in books for young people, dealing with the western historical background."
