Red marbled endpapers - Binding is tight with board fully attached which is unusual for a book of this sixe/weight. Pencil note top edge of illustration page. Much color and b/w illustration. Copyright page states " Treating Various Schools of Medicine/ Absolute Authority on Every Subject" . At rear of book is a Red letter "Certificate of Membership good for a free physical examamination, consultations, prescriptions and medical advice". Advice and treatment also available by mail. Book weighs about 9.5 pounds , so shipping weight will be in excess of 10 lbs.. Hard Cover. Very Good.

With a color frontispiece depicting a 'sectional view of a modern sanitary suburban home" and 34 plates (17 colored and 17 black and white). Among the colored plates are 3 "lift-the-flap" charts. Numerous black and white illustrations are also included with the text. In addition, pp. 825-838 are printed on gloss paper and contain black and white photos and illustrations depicting muscular development and exercise; pp. 881-912 offer simple color illustrations (on rectos) of medicinal plants, followed by a 10 unnumbered glossy page section (titled "Herbs, Roots and Plants Valuable in Medicine") with 9 black and white illustrations; p. 1012 is followed by 8 unnumbered glossy pages with black and white human body outline diagrams for quick diagnosis.
