Printed for the Author, Fold by A. Millar. Collectible - Very Good. Small Quarto. Paper Covered Boards Hardcover, 1762. First Edition. (viii), (1), 2-56, with 2 front free endpapers and 2 back free endpapers. Includes 2 fold-outs; a frontispiece diagram of ship's rigging, and a map. Both fold-outs are complete and remarkably well-preserved (with only one small tear on right-hand margin of frontis). Half-title page present. Bound in plain green paper over boards; toning along spine and edges, extremities frayed. Joints and hinges are strong. Textblock sturdy; edges tinted red. Pages are clean and all leaves intact, showing nothing more than the minimal expected age-toning. A fantastic copy of this very scarce first edition. Falconer composed this, his most famous poem, after being one of only three survivors of the shipwrecked Britannia, and actually lost his life in another wreck seven years after this publication. Falconer made editorial changes to later editions, not all of which are regarded as improvements. Offered by the Antiquarian, Rare, and Collectible department of Better World Books. Your purchase benefits global literacy programs. 100% satisfaction guaranteed.

Straight, tight and clean with no wear or markings in bright, pictorial card covers, no dustjacket as issued. The pieces in this collection, written between 1956 and 1961 and including short fiction, a radio play, and a stunning early novel, offer startling insights into Cohens imagination and creative process. Trumansburg, NY: Out of Step Press. Fine with no dust jacket. 2016. Numbered Edition; First Printing. Pamphlet. The author's non-linear poem about the billeting of soldiers in civilian homes in wartime. Copy 89 of a limited edition of 250. Folded into the form of a letter, the work was letterpress printed in wraps of handmade "combat paper" made from military uniforms. The author says: "Some time ago-maybe a year, maybe two?
