What upload formats does Biblio.com accept?

Return to what I was doing

We generally can accommodate nearly any type of upload format or database software, including, but not limited to, the following:

BookHound 7ce- Download BookHound 7ce Free!
HomeBase

BookTrakker

BookRouter

Booklist

Record Manager

Bookmate

Prager Inventory Software

Basil Bookstore Software

Excel (must be exported as delimited text)

Access (must be exported as delimited text)

Tab delimited files

Pipe delimited files

UIEE

Comma separated files

We also accept custom upload formats, with the following minimum requirements:

1. Must be ASCII (text) based (e.g., delimited file format)

2. Must contain the following minimum fields: Your record number, author, title, description, and price
Biblio can accept uploads in nearly any format, as long as the data format is a regular delimited ASCII text file.
We recommend making the first line of the upload file a data dictionary or header, so that there are no misunderstandings about which field is which.  We recommend that tabs or pipes be used as delimiters if possible, as tab and pipe characters are rare in book descriptions whereas commas are frequently used.
If you are using a delimited format, we suggest that the description fields are placed last on each line, to ensure that the price is not corrupted through the description containing the delimiter.  If you are using any of the fields listed below as boolean fields, please note in the header line what your true value is.
Note for Excel users:
We do not recommend using the csv format as your upload format. We recommend using the save-as .tab tab delimited option in Excel to produce a tab delimited file for upload.
A short sample upload file is included here:
