About This Item
London: Doubleday, 1995. First edition, first printing. Published by Doubleday in London, 1995. This is a fine copy. The dust wrapper is illustrated by Sarah Perkins. It has been neatly price clipped and is slightly rubbed at the top and tail edges. The boards are free from chips and marks, the corners sharp and the binding is tight. The text blocks are very slightly toned but are free from foxing. There is a 'Christmas 1995' dedication to the front flyleaf, which is faded. Overall, this is a fine copy of the true first edition. The author's first novel. It covers the experiences of Ruby Lennox, a girl from a working-class English family living in York.
