First thus, first English version. A handsome example of this early volume of legal writing. Mirrour of Justice is seen as a vigorous criticism of law administration, including Anglo Saxon laws and canon law. Andrew Horn was a London lawyer and legal scholar, serving as Chamberlain of London City from 1320-1328. He was in charge of the civic archives in the rein of Edward II. Collated: Lacking final page of index. In a quarter morocco binding. Externally, very smart. Tear to one front free-end paper with signatures of previous owners.
