Not Stated: Not Stated, c1898. Cloth. Good Only. 9" by 6.5". Not Stated. A very scarce, Concertina-style book showcasing photo impressions of Southampton and surrounding areas. A charming concertina style set of photo impressions of Southampton and neighbourhood at the start of the Twentieth Century. A very scarce work. Showcasing photo impressions from Southampton Docks, Bargate South, Cobden Bridge, Old Prison, High Street, New Pier, St. Mary's Church, and more. No publisher or publishing location is mentioned. On the rear pastedown is a advertisement for Edwin Jones & Co., advertising 'The Netley', a late nineteenth/early twentieth-century sewing machine. Bound in quarter cloth with paper covered boards. Externally, stain to the bottom of the front board with marks to both boards. Slight bumping to extremities and head and tail of spine. Internally, binding is failed and pages remain attached with the first plate attached to the front pastedown. Plates are bright and clean. Good Only
