Engraved frontispiece protected with a tissue-guard. Remarkable survey of Ancient Egypt, with chapters on Alexandria, Heliopolis, the Pyramids, Cairo, the Nile, Thebes, etc... This work is profusely illustrated with numerous b/w in-text and full-page illustrations and 12 stunning color plates, each protected with a tissue guard. Closed tears along upper joints. Moderate shelf wear. Upper front corner bumped (not affecting pages throughout.) Very minor age-toning along paper margin. Binding in overall fair, interior in good+ condition.
