About This Item

Philadelphia: J.B. Lippincott, 1970. Hardcover. Very Good/Good. First American hardcover edition. Front fly offset from a clipping, a small ink correction made in the text by a J.B. Lippincott editor, a good plus copy in good dust jacket with a little sunning at the spine and several external tape repairs. A humble but bibliographically correct first American hardcover edition of what is easily the scarcest of the Lippincott Travis McGee titles.

Synopsis

Darker than Amber is a 1970 film adaptation of the John D. MacDonald novel Darker than Amber. It was directed by Robert Clouse from a screenplay by MacDonald and Ed Waters. It starred Rod Taylor as the main series character: Travis McGee. Darker than Amber remains the only McGee novel adapted to the big screen as of 2009.
