Melbourne: Currey O'Neil, 1982. First edition. Hardcover. Fine/Very Good,. A very neat, bright copy. From an edition of 1997 copies. Quarto in publisher's faux linen boards with credits in brown lettering spine. Spine lightly sunned (as usual). 80 pages with 190 illustrations of Friend's work (many full page colour) as official war artist with the Australian forces on the islands of New Guinea and Borneo, contemporary photographs. Also contains an illustrated catalogue of all works produced by Friend as an official war artist and bibliography. A lovely copy.
