Boston: Ticknor & Fields. Good with no dust jacket. 1865. First American Edition. Hardcover. A copy with considerable wear that remains readable and eye-catching. Front paper hinge is weak but not separated. The rear cover has a crease visible in the cover cloth with a corosponding tear to the rear paste down paper from being creased. Three previous owners have left their marks from the ffep to the title page. The first 25-30 pages of the text are creased to varying degrees along the top fore edge. .
