About This Item
London: Elliot Stock 1899. (Hardcover) 183pp. Very good, no dust jacket. Title page inscribed by the author. Brown cloth with gilt lettering and cover decoration. The spine is edgeworn at the top and bottom, all corners are bumped and lightly scuffed. "The great English poet has been less studied in Wales than in the other parts of Great Britain, not because the Cymri read less and think more, but chiefly because they are a people largely of one book - the other great English classic, the Bible; and also partly because, along with the foreign tongue, Shakespeare has treated the Welshman with some amount of ridicule" - from the text. (Fiction, Fiction).
