New York: Harper and Brothers, 1895. Wraps. Good. Illustrated wraps. Black and white illustrations throughout. Single issue of this magazine, featuring: the first part of a novel by Mark Twain, written under the pseudonym Louis de Conte, "Personal Recollections of Joan of Arc;" part five of "Hearts Insurgent," by Thomas Hardy; an illustrated piece by Charles Dana Gibson "Paris in Mourning;" "Autumn in Japan," written and illustrated by Alfred Parsons, etc. GOOD condition. Wrappers soiled, spotted and stained, with general toning. Dampstain along the bottom edge. Chipping, tearing and loss at the head and tail of the spine, with a small area of nibbling near the top corner. Large tear along the rear wrapper hinge. Minor soiling and foxing in the interior.
