About This Item
Gibraltar: Twenty-Eighth Regimental Press, 1872. 256 pages. 2 colour plates of colours and officers' uniform of 1798, 1 lithograph view of the ship Sultana in a cyclone. Contemporary full black morocco with gilt lines, spine and corners rubbed. The text which is based on Richard Cannon's template includes 90 pages on the Peninsula where the second battalion served under Moore and from 1812 on the east coast of Spain. The compiler was almost certainly Quarter-Master Thomas Rogers and I don't understand why the modern reprint gives the author as S rather than T Rogers.
