Large octavo. 526 pages, indexed. Hardcover bound in blue cloth. There is moderate wear to the binding, which is significantly rubbed and has several small soil marks, particularly along the spine. The edges are bumped. Corners are beginning to fray. Outer edges of the text block are toned. Endpaper maps of Catawba County are toned and foxed. Endpaper maps have a small tear in the front gutter. There is light foxing to the remaining endpapers, which also have a few stray pencil marks. There is occasional light spotting throughout the text. Text is toned but clean and sound. Illustrated with drawings and photographs.
