About This Item

Paris: A. Vincent, 1925. Cloth. Very Good. A solid copy of the 1925 1st edition of Vol. I only (of a 2 Vol. set). Tight and VG to VG+ in its original olive-green cloth, with very light offsetting along the front panel's upper edges. Neat, small name and the mild ghost of a removed bookplate to the front pastedown, a touch of light soiling at the preliminaries. Massive folio, "132 Planches Donnant de Nombreux Aspects, Des Plus Beaux Jardins de Notre Pays, Accompagnes de Plans et de Notices Explicatives" (from the title page). Crisp, lovely plates throughout in sumptuous black-and-white.
