Internally, [10], 11-396 pp, [1] adverts, [1] ms index, ms ink authors name & initials (JB) to title, new endpapers, binders gilt stamp to fpd (?? Williams), authors ink name to fore-edge. First published in 1678. (180*111 mm). [ESTC, R29588. Wing; A2914; McAlpin Coll.; III 759]. Rare, only 1 copy sold at auction since 1918 and that was defective. Alsop was an English Nonconformist clergyman. His Mischief of Separation and Melius Inquirendum became landmarks in the history of religious nonconformity. [this title was a response to John Goodman's - A serious and compassionate inquiry into the causes of the present neglect and contempt of the Protestant religion and the Church of England.] Title continues: wherein the inquirers cavils against the principles, his calumnies against the preaching and practises of the non-conformist are examined and refelled, and St. Augustine, the Synod of Dort and the Articles of the Church of England in the quinquarticular points, vindicated

CANCELLATIONS & REFUNDS You may request to cancel a book order or return a book within 14 days of receipt of the book. Item not as described: The condition of the book does not match the description on Madoc Books. Incorrect item delivered: The title, cover or edition of the book is different than the title on the order. Item not received: The estimated delivery date has passed and the book has still not arrived. To cancel a book order or return a book simply contact Madoc with your order confirmation details and to obtain the return address.

DELIVERY DETAILS We ship all of our orders via Royal Mail. Orders are usually shipped within 2 or 3 business days. Shipping costs are based on books weighing 2.2 LB, or 1 KG. If your book order is heavy or oversized or a multiple in books we will contact you to let you know that extra shipping is required. Insurance costs are usually dictated by the shippers, should they be higher than normal, then we will contact you for your acceptance.
