Grosset & Dunlap Famous Hinkle Horse Stories Brown hardcover binding with Grosset & Dunlap Famous Hinkle Horse Stories logo - clean square and tight. Remains of previous owner address label on fep. Some staining to outside edges of page block. Ohterwise clean. Sun-faded spine on DJ plus a couple of minor chips and closed tears- protected in clean Brodart jacket. The dustjacket has a different illustration than the Famous Horse Stories version - this one shows a cowboy on a bay horse trying to outrun a group of men on horses chasing him. Photos available upon request. 247 pages. Beautiful, fast Mustang knows only kindness until he is stolen as a 4 year old. Cruel treatment leaves him fearful and distrustful of humans until a series of events help him regain trust once again.. 8vo - over 7¾ - 9¾" tall. Hardcover. Near Very Good/Good+.
